At Project Give, we believe generosity grows strongest when communities come together. This holiday season, thanks to one incredibly generous donor- the DeRoche Family, we’re launching Holidays Without Hunger- an initiative supporting five nonprofit organizations across Northeast Ohio.

The goal is simple:
Put food and dignity directly into the hands of people who need it most.

Through grocery gift cards, meal support, and essential supplies, this gift is already creating powerful impact. Here’s how each organization will benefit this holiday season.

Family Promise provides transitional shelter for 21 families working toward stability and independence. Their units include kitchens that allow families to cook for themselves—though many move in before benefits like SNAP are approved.

This year, every family will receive a $100 grocery gift card, ensuring they can prepare a meaningful Thanksgiving meal and stock their kitchens with what they need most.

As Lisa Fritz shared:
“Gift cards for Thanksgiving will be a huge blessing.”

Hope Ignites—formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope—serves young scholars and their families with academic and practical support.

For their Thanksgiving distribution on November 24, they received $2,000 for groceries, helping them provide turkeys and all the trimmings to 100 scholars and their families.

Michelle told us:
“This support allows us to feed our Scholar families and continue our holiday gift program with confidence."

Hope Farm is on the frontlines serving individuals experiencing homelessness—people who often have immediate and urgent needs.

This year, Project Give is providing $2,000 in fast-food gift cards to McDonald’s, Burger King, Domino’s, and Subway. These will be handed directly to unhoused individuals throughout the holiday season.

As Georgann shared:
“We are always in need of essentials. These gift cards will go straight to people who have so few options.”

The Emergency Assistance Center will also receive $2,000 in grocery gift cards, helping them stock their pantry, support vulnerable households, and meet increased holiday demand with dignity-driven help.

The Emergency Assistance Center serves individuals and families facing financial hardship, food insecurity, and sudden crisis. With demand increasing sharply during the holiday season, the support they provide becomes even more critical.
