Project Give Donates $4,200 to Akron Snow Angels: Protecting the Homeless from Frostbite

Project Give is proud to announce a $4,200 donation to Akron Snow Angels, providing essential hand and feet warmers for the homeless in Akron, Ohio. This generous contribution supports Operation Stop Frostbite, an initiative aimed at preventing frostbite and protecting vulnerable individuals in the community from the dangers of extreme cold.

​About Akron Snow Angels
Founded in 2015 by Erin Victor, Akron Snow Angels is dedicated to supporting the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the Akron area. 

The organization provides essential supplies and fosters meaningful connections with those in need, creating a compassionate network that encourages others to join in the effort to help.
Serving the Homeless Community
Twice a month from November through April, Akron Snow Angels conducts "missions" to provide lunches and distribute winter clothing and toiletries to those experiencing homelessness. They also fulfill requests for vital winter gear like tents, sleeping bags, winter boots, and coats—ensuring that no one is left out in the cold.

Why Hand and Feet Warmers Matter
Every year, many individuals in the homeless community suffer from frostbite, losing fingers and toes to the harsh winter conditions. Hand and feet warmers are a simple yet vital resource in preventing these injuries, offering immediate protection and warmth in extreme cold. The $4,200 donation from Project Give will provide these essential warmers to help safeguard against frostbite.

A History of Compassionate Action
Akron Snow Angels was created out of Erin Victor’s deep concern for the homeless population in Akron. Since 2015, the organization has grown into a 501(c)3 charity, helping hundreds of individuals each year through the support of donors and volunteers. The commitment to providing warmth and essentials in the coldest months continues to be a core part of their mission.
